Conversion of two giant underground oil tanks just outside Tate Modern is set to be completed in 2012.
These tanks will form the first part of the extension of the exhibition space of the popular gallery which will ultimately increase its display space by 70%. The whole extension will be completed by 2016.
ASK is pleased to hear the news as it was involved, on behalf of Ramboll UK Ltd, in monitoring the air quality inside the tanks thus ensuring that they were empty of noxious or dangerous gases. This work confirmed that workers and members of the public could enter the space safely.
