Mayur Patel
Mayur is a Reader in Computational Fluid Dynamics at Greenwich University with over 25 years of research experience in a wide range of application areas involving computational modelling.
His expertise covers everything from the technology of computational modelling, including numerical methods and software engineering, to its applications in process, materials and fire safety engineering.
Mayur has a PhD from Thames Polytechnic and has published over 150 papers on various aspects of computational modelling and its application. He has experience with various commercial fluid flow codes including PHOENICS, CFX, FLUENT and SMARTFIRE, and has collaborated with a number of universities nationally and internationally.
Mayur's current research focuses on:
- Modelling of large stirred tanks for metals processing
- Modelling of a reclaiming process for platinum within catalytic converters
- A research programme to integrate various modelling tools for particulate based manufacturing processes
- Modelling of extract hoods for industrial applications
